If you answered YES to both of these questions, you are a perfect fit for the Medical Arts Symphony. That being said, membership in the orchestra is open to ANY musician who wants to perform great works of classical music. *We have a current need for strings in all areas: Violins, Violas, Cellos, Basses.
We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm, with additional rehearsals the week of the concert.
All rehearsals and performances are held in Battenfeld Auditorium.
Audition Information
What to prepare
The audition is not a high-pressure situation. It is intended simply as a way for us to get to know how you play. For the audition you are required to prepare two selections of your choice. The selections can be from the solo repertoire or orchestral repertoire. Each selection should be two minutes long approximately. We would like to hear a fast, technical segment and a slow lyrical segment. We will be listening to your intonation, phrasing and rhythmical abilities.
